I disagree. She died trying to protect people that she love. Getting tgat maiden power will help her. She will do it so long as she believes that it will help. Had she survived she’ll probably try to understand Oz and stop most of the outburst . That is not nothing. I will not have anyone discredit her

I said in JAUNE’S POV. He just learned that the fight against Salem was for nothing since she is, to their knowledge, unbeatable. Therefore Pyrrha taking on the responsibility of the Fall Maiden for the sake of Ozpin was for nothing. Pyrrha fighting Cinder because she believed it was her responsibility was for nothing. Because Pyrrha’s sacrifice was for, again to their knowledge, an unbeatable cause. Therefore Pyrrha dying, even to protect her friends, was for nothing. 

We as the audience know that Pyrrha dying was not for nothing. I know (or at least theorize) that Pyrrha died to show that even the brightest, bravest, strongest, kindest people can be killed in a war. That it doesn’t matter if you are the best of the best warriors in an elite academy with the most humble hearts, because evil is still evil, and evil does not care how good you are. I know that Pyrrha died to highlight that element of the theme–that bad things just happen to good people, and our moral is to keep fighting, but that doesn’t change when good people are taken from us. Jaune, however, does not know that. So in Jaune’s POV, Pyrrha died for nothing.

So I’m not discrediting anyone, especially not Pyrrha. Don’t put words in my mouth.
